SEO Analyst
A page jumping three positions overnight isn't usually magic, it's a broken link somewhere or a competitor who finally updated a page from 2019. I like being the person who goes looking for which one it is. That's more or less how I ended up in SEO at Hapx Digital: I got curious about why and never really stopped. Most days start with checking what moved and working backward from there in Search Console, Analytics, the occasional audit when something feels off, plus the quieter work of keyword research, competitor analysis, on-page fixes, and internal links that go nowhere useful. None of it's glamorous alone, but it adds up into something people notice a business showing up right when someone needs it to.
Rankings are the scoreboard, not the game. The real game is figuring out what someone typed into Google and whether the page they land on actually helps them. I've seen "perfectly optimized" pages that read like they were written for a robot, and unsurprisingly, they don't convert because the person on the other end isn't one either. So I write and structure things for a real reader first and let the technical side support that instead of leading it.
SEO has a way of humbling you right when you think you've figured it out. An algorithm update lands, or a page that should rank doesn't, and you're back to testing theories. I've made peace with that half the job is forming a hypothesis, checking the data a few weeks later, and being fine with being wrong. I'd rather adjust than pretend I called it from the start. (And yes, I will search a client's keyword just to see where we land, unprompted, for no reason other than wanting to know.)
My SEO Superpowers: · spotting the actual reason behind a ranking change, not just the obvious guess, keyword and search-intent research that starts with the person, not the volume · on-page and content optimization that still reads like a human wrote it · competitor analysis, mostly to see what they're doing right · turning a messy audit into a short list worth fixing first · tracking performance over time and actually adjusting when the data says to.
